Sepang Gold Coast: Future Kuala Lumpur attraction in the making

After having a good laugh on the day that was just recently declared a holiday by Pak Lah for Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya folks, I went to Bagan Lalang with my wife and my youngest daughter. It was so long since I visited Bagan Lalang that I could not remember when was my last visit to the secluded beach that is located in the Sepang district.
When I reach Bagan Lalang, just a few kilometers from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the huge billboard that spells out ‘Sepang Gold Coast’ immediately caught my intention. For whatever reasons, I didn’t know there was such a huge resort development going on at Bagan Lalang. Sepang Gold Coast is indeed one very attractive proposition by Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) and Sepang Bay Sdn Bhd (Sepang Bay).
Destined to become a tropical showcase of choice 22 km of beach frontage of Malaysia’s easily accessible western coastline, facing the sheltered water of the Straits of Malacca.
This development will include four boutique resort hotels, three traditional/ethnic resort, a waterside township, a marina, an aquarium, open zoo, theme park, ecotourism areas and an institute of Oceanography.
When this project if finally completed, I believe Bagan Lalang will not be as sleepy and hollow as it is now where the small village is only crowded on weekends and public holidays.
Sepang Gold Coast is looking for investors and when I asked for the minimum investment amount, a cool RM500K was quoted for the smallest 520 sq ft Travelers Palm Villa chalet…. true to its slogan that says…. Many will admire, few will own.
